Review Policy

I will give you honest reviews of the books that I have read.  I list them as stars 1-5.  I try not to do harsh reviews because as a writer myself I know that harsh comments about your book can be very hurtful on a book you worked so hard on, but please note that I do write reviews of books that I felt deserved a 1 or 2 star rating.

Here's how my rating works:

Five Stars:  You need to read this now!  It was soooo good, I couldn't put it down.
Four Stars:  I really enjoyed it.  I thought that plot was good and the whole idea of the book was fantasic.
Three Stars: It was okay, not one of my favorites, but I still enjoyed it.
Two Stars: I didn't care for it, the writing was poor, or there was just something about it that put me off.
One Star:  Burn it, throw it away, I don't care just do not read the book.

To authors and publishing companies, I do accept ARCs and other things to review on my blog.  Please note I do not do erotica, anything else is cool with me.  Please email me at ariadnejames97@gmail.com if you wish me to review a book.  Thanks!

  1. Would you be prepared to read my latest book, 'All Quiet on the Midwestern Plains; a Tale of Deception, Betrayal and Vindication'?

It falls in the category of literary fiction, and describes academic skulduggery, romance, the activities of the American Nazi party and the vagaries of the Nebraska climate as all these affect a visiting Israeli academic and his family.

The ebook is available for free download on 1 and 2 May. If you prefer, I can send you a PDF of the book, or even the paperback version, if you let me have your address.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
